Lighthouse Club is committed to sponsor students attending construction related courses in ErdaTech School. Last year five students completed their 5-year academic and vocational training. This year LHC started to sponsor six students. Five students on third year and one(1) on 5th year. Five of those scholars are taking up Drafting w/ AutoCAD and a student in electricity as their specialization.

But commitment for charity has become the passion of the Trustees, last February, it introduced to its members the Lighthouse Tower replica, where monetary collection from donations, raffle ticket sales, football card games will be reflected monthly until it reaches the Php100,000.00 mark. Php 100,000.00 is all we need to send one more student to a 3-year vocational and academic education in ErdaTech. This is another Lighthouse Club effort to make one child’s dream a reality. Through the generosity of the members and friends who participated willingly in our monthly get-togethers the tower lit its Php100,000.00 mark last August, 2008

But we don’t stop there, last September the tower started again. We are hopeful to lit the Php100,000.00 mark over and over again.

And true enough, last November 15, 2008 at the Lighthouse Club Manila Christmas Party at Dusit Thani, Etihad Airways donated a round trip ticket to London for Auction, and Philip Leonard of International Student Advisors bought it for Php100,000.00 The amount will be reflected to our Lighthouse Tower replica which will send one more student to school.

Through the members joint efforts, aside from the six scholars of the Club, we managed to sponsor three more kids in ErdaTech. The funds raised from raffle ticket sale, football cards, auctions and cash donations during the get togethers, last Christmas Party and on Golf Day last December 5 will make these kids finish their studies with vocational degree in Drafting with Autocad and Electricity.
